ALT Technologies is opening its new Americas production facility this week in Chihuahua City, Mexico. On October 17th , 2018 ALT Technologies Mexico will begin production operations to extend the global reach of the ALT Technologies group. This new plant will manufacture the key ALT Technologies automotive products for their global customers’ needs in their Americas locations. This continues a long-standing strategy to manufacture products locally for global Tier 1 customers.

ALT will now manufacture and supply the needs of their customers in Mexico, United States and other Americas locations from this new facility. This additional production location and increased global capacity will allow the other production facilities in Romania, The Netherlands and China to focus on the European and Asian markets, allowing further growth potential to flourish in each region.

In recent years ALT Technologies, has continued to grow at a very healthy pace. In 2017 the company welcomed a new investment partner, Gimv, who together with the management team have made serious investments in each business location to support growth and demand from the Tier 1 Automotive customers.

A dedicated Mexican team has been recruited, and a new purpose-built facility has been constructed in Chihuahua City. The whole team has spent the last months being integrated into the company and trained at the European locations to ensure that from day one the team is ready to support the customers.

ALT Technologies Mexico will begin production of all key products supplied by ALT Technologies to existing customers in the region, and build new business which can be supported by their sales teams based in Detroit, USA and Chihuahua City, Mexico.

The opening of the new plant on October 17 th , 2018 will be attended by the Governor of Chihuahua State, the Mayor of Chihuahua City, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Mexico, CEO Jean-Luc Verstraeten, Representatives from Gimv and the Board of ALT Technologies.
