Finance Manager – ALT China
Simenda has been working with the company ever since ALT China opened its production facility in 2012. At the time she was already an experienced financial manager and while overseeing all financial aspects of the business she saw ALT China grow into the plant it is today.
In the meantime the local financial team expanded and under her leadership they worked the challenges caused by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, steering ALT Technologies China to solid financial grounds in challenging times.
What have been the main challenges in your work lately?
Luckily I can say ALT China is very stable, even in this time of turmoil. With everything going on in the world and a recent two month lockdown in Shanghai big challenges are to be anticipated, yet ALT China is resilient and still going strong.
Do you see any impact or reflection on your life as a working woman and mother in an international organization?
I’ve experienced myself the ALT management has a very human approach. This enables me to excel in my position at ALT, yet also be there for my family when they need me. And in return, as I have been working from home a lot in the past two years, my daughters see me working steadily and are motivated to do their best at school and are also encouraged to learn foreign languages.
What are you most proud of in your work?
That with the insights from me and my team, the management is enabled to take targeted actions. After analysing a financial report I can clearly state and forecast what our weaknesses and advantages are and will be in the near future. This is my way to contribute to the business development.
