ALT wins Entrepreneurs award 2011

ALT Technologies has won the Entrepreneur of the year award 2011 from the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. This was announced during the New Year meeting of the Chamber of Commerce for Midden-Nederland in the Beatrix Theatre, Utrecht January 4, 2012.

This prize is awarded annually to a company or organization that has delivered an impressive performance with measurable influence for the region of Midden-Nederland.

A great start to 2012 – ALT wins prestigious local award
The jury, impressed by the continuous development of the company, expressed the following:

“ALT, based in Utrecht, originally a label manufacturer, has in recent years developed into a premier producer of airbag cover technology with investment in new products, materials and production technology to become the market leader in the very competitive automotive industry. A notable fact is that every year ALT works closely with its customers to reduce the cost of its products.

Furthermore, from its headquarters in Utrecht the company has expanded operations to open a facility in Romania in 2006, without reducing operation in Utrecht, and will shortly open another plant in China, with future plans to expand in the USA & Latin America”.

ALT continues strong growth into 2012
At the end of 2011 results show that ALT continues strong growth figures in a challenging economic environment. In the fiscal year 2011 the company grew sales by 8%, even higher than expected. The continued strategies of research and development, cooperation with customers to find the best win/win solutions for ongoing and new projects and products contributes to this success.

As 2012 begins the next year also looks positive for the company, as the development team are inundated with new project requests. ALT continue to invest in the future, the China operation will begin production in Q1, new IT systems will become operational in stages through Q1, Q2 and strategic planning is assessing future expansion plans to Latin America and North America
